Welcome to Contri ("we," "our," or "us"), provided by JeetLabs. Contri is an expense-splitting and shared bill calculation application designed to simplify shared debts among roommates, friends, travel groups, and families.

This policy complies with Google Play Developer Program Policies, GDPR, and global data privacy standards.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information strictly required to calculate group expenses and synchronize balances:

A. Account Information

• Profile Details: Your chosen display name, email address, and optional avatar URL when creating an account.
• Guest Profiles: If a group creator adds a guest member without an account, only a nickname or display label provided by the group creator is recorded locally and within that group.

B. Expense & Transaction Records

• Group Data: Group title (e.g., "Goa Road Trip" or "Apartment 302"), members list, and currency preferences.
• Expense Details: Transaction amounts, bill titles (e.g., "Dinner", "Fuel"), date of payment, payer(s), and split shares.
• Settlement Records: Records marking when group members confirm that a debt has been settled.

C. What We NEVER Collect

• No Banking Access: We never request bank login passwords, UPI PINs, credit/debit card CVVs, or bank account statements.
• No Location Tracking: We do not collect or monitor your continuous GPS location.
• No Invasive Contact Scraping: We do not upload your entire phonebook to external servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely for the following functionalities:

• Calculating net balances across group members using our smart debt simplification algorithm.
• Synchronizing expense additions and edits in real-time across group participants.
• Allowing 1-tap group joins via QR codes and secure invitation tokens.
• Ensuring app stability, crash debugging, and performance optimization.

4. Zero Third-Party Advertising & Data Selling

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal or financial data to data brokers, advertising networks, or third-party marketers.

Contri is an ad-free experience. We do not embed ad-tracking SDKs that monitor your cross-app browsing habits.

5. Data Security & Storage

We employ industry-standard encryption protocols (TLS/SSL) for all data transmitted between the Contri mobile application and our secure servers. Stored databases use encryption-at-rest with strict row-level security policies (RLS), ensuring that only members invited to a specific group can view that group's expenses.

6. Data Retention & Your Rights (Deletion)

You have full autonomy over your data:

• Access & Correction: You can edit your profile name, group details, and expense logs directly inside the app at any time.
• Group Deletion: Group administrators can delete groups and all associated transaction records permanently.
• Account Deletion: You can request full deletion of your account and associated personal data by navigating to Settings > Delete Account in the app or by emailing our data team at jeetlabs.dev@gmail.com. Upon confirmation, your records are permanently purged within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Contri is not directed toward children under 13 years of age (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
